Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Job Description: We are a friendly pet clinic seeking an administrative assistant to work with our loving pet orphans.

  • Greet clients warmly, create a welcoming environment.
  • Answer phones, manage calls, and handle messages.
  • Schedule appointments and send reminders.
  • Check-in/check-out clients and pets, process payments, and handle invoices.
  • Explain basic pet care, medications, and financial options.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records (history, vaccination certificates).
  • Prepare and file documents, prescriptions, and go-home paperwork.
  • Manage inventory for office supplies, retail items, medications, and order new stock.
  • Assist vets and technicians with animal restraint during exams.

 

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication and customer service.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Compassion and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice software and general computer skills.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as an administrative assistant
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stress

Additional Information

Job Title: Admin assistant 
Van Nuys, CA 91406 
Pay Rate: D.O.E 
Pay range: $15-$85
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m and Friday 8:45 a.m to 5:00 p.m
