Job Description
- Operating the Press Brake:Set up, operate, and troubleshoot press brake machines to produce precise metal components according to engineering specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation:Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine the appropriate tooling, bending methods, and sequence of operations.
- Tooling and Material Selection:Select the correct tooling (dies, punches) and determine the appropriate material thickness and type for the desired bend.
- Programming (CNC Machines):Program CNC press brakes to achieve desired bends and shapes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Quality Control:Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and industry standards.
- Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on the press brake, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Safety:Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing facility.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of press brake mechanics and operation.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the bending process.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations related to material dimensions and bend allowances.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move materials, and operate machinery.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
