We are currently seeking a Brake Press Operator to join our production team. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation:
  Set up and operate hydraulic and/or CNC brake press machines to bend sheet metal and other materials to required angles and dimensions.

• Blueprint Reading:
  Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine specifications and proper machine setup.

• Material Handling:
  Load and unload materials safely onto the press brake and position them accurately for forming.

• Quality Control:
  Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, protractors, gauges, and other precision tools to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards.

• Tooling Adjustment:
  Install, adjust, and align dies and tooling to produce accurate bends and shapes.

• Production Monitoring:
  Monitor machine operation throughout the production run to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

• Maintenance Support:
  Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

• Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

• Team Collaboration:
  Communicate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.

• Experience:
  Previous experience operating brake press machines (manual or CNC) in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is required.

• Technical Skills:
  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Measurement Accuracy:
  Proficient with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures, angle finders, gauges).

• Mechanical Aptitude:
  Strong understanding of machine functions and forming principles.

• Attention to Detail:
  High level of accuracy in bending and shaping operations.

• Problem-Solving:
  Ability to identify and resolve setup and production issues independently.

• Physical Requirements:
  Ability to stand for long periods, lift materials (up to 50 lbs), and work in a physically active environment.
