Job Description
- Inspect the truck before and after trips to ensure safety and identify any necessary maintenance or repairs
- Operate the truck to pick up and deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
- Assist in the loading and unloading of ready-mix concrete
- Maintain communication with the dispatcher to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on the job progress
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing protective gear and ensuring the truck is safe for operation
- Keep the truck clean, removing any concrete build-up and washing out the mixer after deliveries
- Report any incidents, accidents or breakdowns to management immediately
- Check the quality of ready-mix concrete before and during delivery, and adjust the mix as needed
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Valid truck driving license (Class B CDL)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Ability to handle physical workload
Additional Information
- PAY RATE: $20.00
- The pay rate ranges from $18-$85
- SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday / Saturdays -6 a.m.- 5 p.m.
