Delivery Driver
Job Description
Position Summary
The Driver is responsible for making deliveries to clients and pick up material on a daily basis
while driving a company van. This job involves retrieving shipments from vendors and delivering
these pallets to our client offices. There are lifting requirements and candidate should expect to
drive approximately 80% of the time with the remaining time working in the warehouse,
loading vans, and occasionally packing jobs. The goal of each Driver is to provide a high level of
service to our customers by consistently getting the right parts to the right places at the right
time, in the safest possible manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or
unloading vehicles
Completes daily delivery and package pickup routine
Communicating with manager, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries
Meeting delivery deadlines, including 3 trips per shift
Loading and unloading materials
Scan all jobs, tracking shipments and deliveries
Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed
Maintain cleanliness and operability of delivery truck
Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule
Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving
Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo

Duties for the candidate may include exposure to hot, cold, wet, dusty, and/or humid
conditions.
Physical work environment outdoors, warehouse
Ability to move and carry up to 55 lbs.
Constant standing
Constant repetitive use of hands
Occasionally walking
Occasionally kneeling/crouching

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill
and/or ability required.
Must be able to read and write English
Basic computer skills (word, excel, and departmental applications)
Ability in using tools (e.g., clamps) and machines (e.g., presses)
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Active driver license is required with clean driving record
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
High school diploma: Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciat
ed.
