Job Description
- Reviewing instructions: Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and CAM files to understand the specifications for the machine output
- Taking measurements: Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production and precise measurements for cutting and shaping tasks
- Programming: Write and test programs to determine the machine's path, cut speed, and feed rate
- Adjusting: Make adjustments as needed to the machine's settings to produce high-quality parts
- Inspecting: Inspect and test products for compliance with specifications
- Maintaining: Maintain machine functionality and complete preventive maintenance requirements
- Adhering to safety: Follow safety protocols and ensure the machine is safe
- Stocking: Stock machines with needed materials
- Securing: Secure and monitor cutting tools and other machine materials
Job Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work well in a team
- High level of manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or a related field
- Apprenticeship programs that combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction can be beneficial
- Certifications from recognized industry institutions, such as the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), can be advantageous
- Continuous professional development to stay updated with new machining technologies and techniques
Additional Information
Pay range: $20.00-$85 (We are required by law to list highest paid employee)
Location: Ontario, Pomona, Chino , and Rancho Cucamonga
Job type: Part time (as needed basis)
