Blueprint Interpretation: Studying blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions and structural layouts.

Structural Assembly: Building and erecting wooden frameworks for houses, including floors, wall studs, and roof trusses.

Material Selection & Cutting: Measuring, marking, and cutting lumber or other materials using hand and power tools.

Site Layout: Setting up scaffolding and measuring layout lines for the building's foundation and walls.

Sheathing & Finishing: Installing plywood or sheathing to exterior walls and roofs to prepare for siding or roofing materials.

Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA guidelines.

Job Site Management: Clearing debris and maintaining a safe, organized, and functional work environment. 

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction methods, and building materials.

Tool Proficiency: Expertise in handling hand tools (hammers, levels, squares) and power tools (nail guns, saws, drills).

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, work at heights, and work in varied weather conditions.

Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and problem-solving abilities on site.

Experience: Previous experience in rough carpentry, often acquired through an apprenticeship, vocational training, or on-the-job experience.

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
