Job Description

  • Ensure food safety standards are met throughout food preparation and service
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests during events
  • Assist with busting tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas

Job Requirements

  • Customer service: Before an event, caterers meet with the chef  to outline a menu, agree to a schedule and provide an estimate with availability to respond to client questions and concerns. These duties benefit from strong customer service skills.
  • Cooking expertise: Caterers with extensive cooking knowledge can effectively carry out the vision of the menu designer. 
  • Organization: A catering kitchen works well when it's well-organized and efficient, with each member of staff assigned to specific duties.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures: Preparing food for the public requires strict adherence to food safety procedures. 

Additional Information

Pay Range: $17.00 - $85.00
