Job Description

(FOR GENERAL LABOR PAY RATE WILL BE $18.00/HR)
Looking for a  Drywall/Painter Technician, a construction professional who handles both drywall installation and finishing, preparing walls and ceilings, and applying paint or other finishes to create a smooth, professional look. Work includes installing, taping, and mudding drywall, as well as sanding and applying primers, paints, and textures to achieve the specified project requirements. Technicians often will collaborate with other trades, such as installers and carpenters, to ensure high-quality results and maintain a safe work environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels and then applying tape and joint compound to seams.
  • Smoothing out imperfections, sanding surfaces to a smooth finish, and priming them for painting.
  • Applying primers, paint, stains, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Fixing any holes, cracks, or other imperfections in the drywall surface.
  • Working with project managers, drywall installers, and other construction trades to meet project timelines and specifications.
  • Cleaning and maintaining painting tools, equipment, and the work area.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Job Requirements

  • Attention to detail is crucial for achieving a smooth and professional finish on drywall and paint.
  • Physical stamina is required for tasks involving repetitive motions, working on ladders or scaffolding, and in cramped spaces.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and cutting drywall to fit specified areas.
  • Tool proficiency is a must, skillin using power and non- power tools for cutting, drilling, sanding, and painting.
  • Ability to mix and match paint colors for customs jobs.

Additional Information

Employment Type: Full-Time 8/HR shifts 
Pay Rate: $20.00/HR
Pay Rate Ranges: $15.00/HR- $85.00/HR
