Job Description
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, inspecting, and making minor repairs as needed
- Measure, plan, and mark layout for proper flooring installation
- Cut and install hardwood flooring using nail-down, glue-down, or floating methods
- Install underlayment, vapor barriers, and transitions as required
- Use installation tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and overall finish quality
- Follow manufacturer specifications and installation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and safe job site throughout the project
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality standards
Job Requirements
- Prior experience in hardwood flooring installation preferred
- Ability to measure, cut, and install flooring accurately
- Knowledge of installation methods (nail-down, glue-down, floating systems)
- Familiarity with flooring tools and equipment (flooring nailer, saws, air compressor, moisture meter, etc.)
- Ability to read basic floor plans and follow installation instructions
- Understanding of subfloor preparation and moisture considerations
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work on feet for extended periods
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Punctuality and strong work ethic
Additional Information
Pay range: $19-$85 (We are required by law to list highest paid employee)
