Job Description
Assist kitchen staff by preparing ingredients and maintaining clean and organized workstations to support efficient cooking operations.

Ingredient preparation:

Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients according to recipe or instruction.

Station setup:

Stock workstations with prepped ingredients, utensils, cutting boards, and other required materials before service begins.

Labeling and storage:

Properly label and date all prepped items; store ingredients safely in compliance with food safety standards.

Kitchen organization:

Keep prep areas clean and organized throughout the shift; dispose of waste properly and restock supplies as needed.

Basic cooking tasks:

Assist cooks with simple tasks like boiling, portioning, marinating, or assembling basic menu components.

Equipment use:

Operate basic kitchen equipment such as food processors, mixers, and blenders safely and efficiently.

Health and safety compliance:

Follow hygiene protocols, including hand washing, glove use, and proper food handling; report any spoiled or expired items.

• Experience: Prior kitchen or food prep experience helpful but not required.
