Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Food Services III shall be required to prepare all food to scaled recipes, create monthly menus, order food and supplies from vendors, complete cleanliness, and sanitation of kitchen facility

  • Assist in food cost control and maintain budget for costs.
  • Maintain quality of food within department guidelines and procedures.
  • Keep a clean workspace.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines. 
  • Prepare monthly menus and prepare food using scaled recipes.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of one to three (3) years' experience in the preparation of quality food in Institutional, Healthcare and/or comparative food production setting.
  • Must be ServSafe certified.
  • Must have ability to read, write and verbalize in English.
  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend instruction of standardized recipes, written policies, etc.
  • Must have basic knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to food preparation.
  • Available varied shifts including weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds.
  • Must clear Guardian Livescan prior to hire.
  • Must obtain clearance for TB/Physical prior to hire.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
  • Must obtain CPR/1ST Aid (within 3 months) of employment.

Additional Information

Pay-Rate Ranges $21.00/HR-$85.00/HR
