Job Description
- Maintain the lawns and garden
- Performing shrub and plant care maintenance duties
- General weeding, trimming and pruning
- Trained at operating all machines needed to perform job duties
- Reports to assigned crew leader before working each day for direction
- Other duties not mentioned or may be assigned by crew leader.
- Create and refurbish outdoor spaces
- Dig trenches and install drainage
- Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and trash
- Loading and unload materials
- Operate large, powered machinery and equipment
- Perform general ground keeping duties
- Heavy lifting is often necessary
- Other duties assigned per supervisor and crew leader
Job Requirements
- Experience assisting a landscape or general horticulture crew performing a variety of unskilled manual tasks.
- Experience safely operating, maintaining and cleaning landscape maintenance tools such as mowers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, line trimmers, chain saws, rakes, shovels, hoes, brooms, and other related landscape maintenance tools.
- Experience safely operating, maintaining and cleaning landscape equipment such as stump grinders, brush chippers, trenchers, aerators, tractors, roto-tillers and other commonly used power driven landscape maintenance equipment.
- Demonstrated experience operating large stake bed trucks, lift trucks and tractors.
- Basic experience using standard computer systems and applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), electronic mail and web based applications.
- Basic knowledge of recycling standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact in a positive manner within a diverse community.
- Ability to prioritize high volume workload subject to frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to maintain acceptable work habits, punctuality, regularity of attendance and meet deadlines. Ability to follow through and carry out assignments
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, service-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing and electronically with a diverse campus population.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships through a professional approach in handling customer service needs and resolving problems efficiently.
- Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment in order to communicate and respond promptly with tact and diplomacy.

Employment Type - Monday - Friday(WEEKENDS if needed)
Pay Rate-$17.50/Hr
Pay-Rate Ranges $17.50/HR-$85.00/HR
