The Material Handler receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and products within the establishment by performing the following duties

Work within company guidelines and policies to ensure warehouse functions are consistent with procedures defined for this level after being trained

Weighs or counts items for receiving and distribution to multiple manufacturing plants in San Diego

Fills requisitions and work orders or issues material for distribution to assembly lines using manual and computerized programs

Packs finished goods and materials for shipment to customer locations using various freight carrier methods and systems

Receives material components and assemblies from suppliers to support manufacturing, engineering, and customer service operations

Performs other related duties as needed or assigned

Excellent reading, writing, and math skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

Good communications skills

Strong computer skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete the assigned task
