Job Description
- Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathe machines to produce precision metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Create and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAM software
- Select proper tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for production runs
- Perform machine setups including tool changes, calibration, and first article inspections
- Monitor machine operations and make program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and machine malfunctions to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience programming and operating multi-axis CNC lathe machines
- Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Familiarity with CAM software and CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Okuma
- Ability to set up tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets independently
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of metal machining processes, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality and workplace safety
Additional Information
Pay rate: $23-DOE /Hour +
Pay range: $23-$85 (We are required by law to list highest paid employee)
