Job Description
- Operating machinery: Production workers can operate machinery or assist machine operators. They may also fix mechanical issues or report them to a supervisor.
- Assembling products: Production workers may assemble or finish products on an assembly line.
- Checking for quality: Production workers inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards. They may also check for defects and remove defective items.
- Packaging products: Production workers may pack finished products and attach labels.
- Moving products: Production workers may move products between storage and work areas, or use lifting equipment to move products.
- Maintaining equipment: Production workers may maintain and clean equipment.
- Following safety procedures: Production workers are responsible for following safety procedures and ensuring the production facility is clean and tidy.
- Meeting production targets: Production workers may need to meet production targets
Job Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or GED certificate is typically required.
- Physical stamina: Production workers need to be able to lift heavy objects.
- Communication: Production workers need to be able to communicate with their coworkers to troubleshoot issues and work together.
- Attention to detail: Production workers need to be able to identify defects in products.
- Safety: Production workers need to be able to follow safety procedures and have strong safety skills when operating machinery.
- Cleanliness: Production workers need to keep their work areas clean to prevent contamination.
- Math skills: Production workers need to have basic math skills and be able to read and interpret measurements.
- Experience: Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Additional Information
Pay rate: $18.00/Hour +
Pay range: $16.50-$85 (We are required by law to list highest paid employee)
