Pit Master
Job Description
-
Manage all aspects of the barbecue pit, including lighting, temperature control, and cooking times

Select high-quality meats and prepare them for grilling
-
Create and follow barbecue recipes, ensuring consistency in flavor
-
Monitor and control inventory, ordering new supplies as needed
-
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
-
Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner
-
Maintain clean and safe working conditions within the barbecue pit area
-
Train staff on proper barbecue techniques and safety procedures
-
Perform quality checks to ensure meat is cooked to desired level
Job Requirements
-
Proven work experience as a BBQ Pitmaster or similar role in a restaurant

Knowledge of different types of meats and cooking temperatures

Experience with various barbecue techniques and recipes
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
-
Exceptional customer service skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills
-
Food handler’s certificate may be required
-
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school is a plus
Additional Information
Pay rate: $18/Hour +
Pay range: $18-$85 (We are required by law to list highest paid employee)
