Position Overview: Cuts material on saws, maintaining work order tolerances and specifications. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):  

• Ability to use measurement tools.
• Knowledge of saw concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, tolerances and specifications.
• Ability to set up machines, blades, stops or feeding devices, and flow of coolant against cutting area.
• Ability to properly load material on saws using forklifts or other moving equipment.
• Knowledge of changing blades on saws as needed.
• Cleans saws at the end of shift.
• Adheres to personal and facility safety procedures and practices. 
• Other duties as required.

• Manufacturing and operations management
• Process control
• Quality manager
• Plant manager

Supervision Exercised: 

• Lead saw operator will assist all operators with saw operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer program.
• Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.
• Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.
• Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.
• Must be forklift operations and safety certified.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
