Security Guard
Job Description
Ensure the safety and security of premises, personnel, and guests by monitoring activities, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents with professionalism and vigilance.
Patrolling:
Conduct routine foot or vehicle patrols of the property to deter suspicious activity, identify safety hazards, and ensure secure access points.
Access control:
Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification, and manage visitor or vendor check-ins in accordance with site protocols.
Incident response:
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations; assess and report incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
Surveillance monitoring:
Utilize security cameras and alarm systems to observe activities in real-time and record footage when necessary.
Policy enforcement:
Enforce property rules and regulations; issue warnings or contact law enforcement as needed for trespassing or unlawful behavior.
Reporting:
Document daily activity, incidents, and irregularities such as property damage, theft, or presence of unauthorized persons.
Customer interaction:
Provide directions and assistance to guests or employees while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Emergency procedures:
Follow company protocols during fire, medical, or evacuation emergencies; assist with crowd control and first-response actions.

Job Requirements
Guard Card: Valid and current Guard Card required (must be presented at time of hire).
Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred but not required.
Alertness: Strong observational skills and ability to stay focused during long periods of surveillance or inactivity.
Professionalism: Neat appearance, clear communication, and respectful demeanor at all times.
Decision-making: Ability to assess situations quickly and take appropriate action under pressure.
Report writing: Basic writing and documentation skills to record incidents and shift activities.
Physical readiness: Capable of standing or walking for extended periods and performing light physical duties if necessary.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Expected Hours: 32 – 48 per week
Pay Rate: ($20/hr)
Pay Range: $16.50 – $85.00 per hour
