Job Description
- Manually unloading cargo from shipping containers and trailers, and loading outgoing trucks.
- Sorting, stacking, and organizing goods onto pallets according to warehouse standards.
- Moving products from the loading dock to staging or storage areas.
- Assessing cargo for damage, identifying damaged items, and documenting asset losses.
- Keeping the loading dock clean, orderly, and safe.
- Using manual or powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified).
Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy items (often up to 50 lbs) regularly
- Ability to stand, crouch, and walk for long periods
- Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or loading is preferred
- Ability to read order manifests and verify freight contents
- Strict adherence to workplace safety guidelines and OSHA standards
- Willingness to work flexible schedules or weekends to meet shipping deadlines
