Operate all equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries immediately.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company uniform standards.
Read and understand blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Prepare materials and set up welding machines (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) for proper operation.
Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerance marked on the blueprints.

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
Ability to work in hot, noisy, or confined environments
Knowledge of safety procedures and use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
Attention to detail and quality control
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Experience working with different metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.)
Experience using various welding techniques
