Operates Wickman Screw Machines and Swiss-style machines to produce precision components using materials such as 6061 Aluminum, Brass, 303 SS, and 316 SS.

• Interpret technical documentation: Read blueprints, job orders, and engineering specifications to determine machining requirements such as dimensions, tolerances, cutting speeds, and tool selection.
  
  

• Set up and operate machines: Load bar stock, install bushings, pushers, and cutting tools. Adjust cams, gears, and stops to ensure proper stock and tool movement.
  
  

• Monitor production: Cycle machines through operations, observing performance, inspecting sample parts, and adjusting settings to ensure conformance to specifications.
  
  

• Tool maintenance: Replace worn tools, monitor tool life, and perform minor troubleshooting or adjustments as needed.
  
  

• Quality assurance: Inspect parts using measuring instruments to confirm accuracy and tolerance requirements.
  
  

• Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety standards, ISO procedures, and company policies for a clean and safe working environment.
  
  

• Documentation: Record production data, tooling changes, and quality checks as required by job orders and work instructions.
  
  

• Team collaboration: Work with Team Leaders or Troubleshooters for guidance or assistance on complex operations.

• Technical skills: Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  
  

• Mechanical aptitude: Familiarity with machine controls and setup for screw machines and Swiss machines.
  
  

• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and correct machining issues.
  
  

• Math proficiency: Basic math skills including decimals, fractions, and conversions.
